Internet Explorer cannot open certain sites

When I use Internet Explorer, I can open almost all sites
I visit, except those that automatically open a Security
box along with the web site. In addition, sites that
conatin applets, to which I should be prompted and then I
can ssay OK to download a small aplication, do not load.
I will open the web site, but there will be blank spaces
where the applet should have downloaded (after I said OK).

Any thoughts?

I am having the exact same problem but I can't find any
help on the internet. If anyone has seen this error
before please help. The error is annoying as HELL!!!

This winsock repair fixed all my IE web page display trouble. All my pages
show and display as they should know.
