Internet Explorer and XP SP2 update

Hi --

I have just updated XP Home with SP2 and now whenever I go online using IE6
none of the gif graphics are downloaded, being replaced by the empty cell
with a red cross in it.

So when in Hotmail, for example, all the little icons are missing, but the
larger flash stuff displays OK.

What do I need to do ? ... I have switche off the firewall and other
security measures but it has no effect.

Big problem is that with some sites, as the gifs do try to download, the
site times out, so my online banking is now inaccessible.

Jon,
I would be looking at any other program that filters or blocks some content.
Your firewall, anti-virus, ad-blocker or another security-type program may
need to be updated to work with XP SP2.

There are many other possibilities.
