Internet Explorer and all other browsers surfs for about ten minutes and then it dies

Hello mates,

Put another shrimp on the barbee.

All of my browsers are Kaput!

I can go to four or five website's. Then when I come back to it/them
later, it doesn't go anywhere and says "done" in the lower left hand
corner of the screen.

This happened a few months ago, and someone told me how to fix it. I
lot my contact manager information this week. So I can't remember
where I went to fix it.

It has something to do with spyware causing all of the website's to
redirect back to my computer. It doesn't matter what I type.

Maybe this smidgen of flagellation will help you to know of what I
speak.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing Messenger Plus, whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
