Internet Explorer 6

I have been using IE 5.5 for over 2 years with no problem.
I just downloaded IE 6 and now when I start or restart the
computor the dialer will start without me clicking on any
icon. I have checked all settings and changed the
internet options tools(connections)to not dial my default
dialer, but when I click on the IE icon the dialer will
not start.
