Internet Explorer 6 problem

Hello,

My IE is not working. When I try to connect by clicking on the it's
icon I get the display page saying "The page cannot be displayed". The
internet connection is fine. I have tried to reinstall it and repair
the XP sysatem but nothing has worked. Any suggestions would greatly be
appreciated. Thanks.
