Internet Explorer 6 keeps freezing when multilple windows are open

My Internet Explorer keeps freezing and either shuts down
automatically or gives different error messages,
concerning memory and program is not reponding. My
computer is new, I have a 1 gig of ram and running
Windows XP Pro. I have re-installed the whole system
once, because of this problem, and them problem started
after one week after my full installation.

Error msg (verbatim; but with out 'registers') will go a long way toward
solving this type of problem

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
