Internet dial up

Hi, recently in a hurry I clicked open a web page, while offline, from my
desktop to get online quick to the site I needed to connect to. This
automatically prompts the internet-dial-up box to come up. Since I did
this the dial-up box now comes up automatically immediately on every
PC-startup and takes three attempts to close. How can I change this?

Assuming you are using IE goto the tool menu>internet options>connections
and select "never dial a connection".
