Internet Connection Wizard

Dear All,
I have 2 OS - Win 2K / Win XP in my machine. I upgraded my
Win2K Service Pack to SP4, and after tha tI couldn't boot
my Win XP, so I repaired it. After repair, when I run the
Interent Connection Wizard , I use 'Set up My Connection
Manually" and then I find that the option

" Connect using a broadband COnnection that requires User
& Password" is disabled.

I see on ly " Connect using a broadband which is always
On".

Why is this, my Broadband service provider says that it is
Microsoft problem. My internet connection was fine before
I upgraded the Win2K.

Thanks & Regards
Sankar

Kelly has some areas on broadband in her a-z. Under "Help and support
- Connection" she has "windows xp internet programs cannot connect to
the internet through broadband connection" (which I'm not sure matches
your situation)

From the a-z
To resolve this behavior, edit the connection settings for the
broadband connection to enable automatic detection:
Start Internet Explorer. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet
Options. Click the Connections tab.

Under Dial-up and VPN Settings, click the broadband connection, click
Settings, and then click Automatically detect settings .
Click OK .
