Two Internet Connection

This is a suggestion for the people who would like to use 2 internet
connection with windows. I asked earlier in this newsgroup that How I can
setup to Internet connection in Windows to use them as Bridging or
LoadBalancing.

But till date I didn't receive any reply.

I am currently running Windows Vista and having one Broadband connection of
Connect ISP company and one Dial-Up connection using Nokia N72 Mobile Airtel
ISP. I was thinking of Bridging both connection and maybe it is not
possible. According to my knowledge, Windows can only combine 2 Ethernet
connection and no connection should be shared as well and LoadBalacing is
also not possible where I was wanted both the connection to download with
their on bandwidth.

So, what I did to run both the connection simultaneously is to use Virtual
PC.

First I used the Windows XP Virtual Disk which was already saved in my
computer and install the first Broadband connection in it. Then I install
Nokia PC Suite in Windows Vista and configure the Dial-Up connection. and
atleast I got what I wanted. Both the connection worked as LoadBalancing and
giving me their own bandwidth.

However, didn't succeed to Bridge both the connection.

I will appreciate if someone would like to comment or suggest me regarding
this.

Why ever in the world do you want to do this. If you have a broadband
connection, is that not the best to use and faster than DSL? Why
bridge a slow and fast connection.

I mean, I got cable at 4mb and dropped my 56K modem ASAP. Why would I
keep a slow piece of s**t.

Man you got the luck, if you have 4Mbps Connection, its been very difficult
to be in this surfing world with slow speed

Think someone with 256kbps speed, why dont that guy want to have extra piece
of cake.
& for one more scenario man , when i do have both connections & one pc, then
why not i make it use for download as in virtual pc as specified.
Do take example that i want to download one 330MB movie with slow one in
Virtual PC

& 700 MB movie with broadband in Real Pc, then its going to help me very
much as i just have to turn on the download & then go to bed while both
connections doing my work

@ Rajiv Kohlii

I think its been possible with Sun Solaris as i had heard about bridgng the
mac there
& take the advantage of combined speed, still can not say the same thing in
Windows until today, Microsoft guys are very slow

My old provider used to cap my speed on Newsgroups to 125K. Can you
believe a 4MB cable with a cap on the newsgroups. So I understand your
issue to a bit. It would take me close to 24 hours to pull a 4gig file.
I rarely did it as it was so painful. Or like you just dedicate the
PC to the job for the next day. I guess anything you can eek out of
the line is better than nothing.
