Internet Connection Sharing

L

Lakis

I have two computers connected on a network through hub.
In the first one I have enabled the ICS. The settings of
the "Local area connection" of this computer are:
IP address: 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1
Preferred DNS server: 192.168.0.1
The settings of the other computer are all set to auto.
When I make an internet connection I see both "Local area
connection" and "Internet connection" icons at the task
bar of the second computer but I can't open any pages
with internet explorer. Is there someone who can help?
Thanks.

Are the pc's using XP? If so use the ics wizard to set
ithem up. You can also check the following:
R click My Network Places. R click the internet connection-
select properties-select the Advance tab and make sure
that the connection is ticked to share the internet. Cheers
