I've followed this procedure to setup a dial up ics at home between my xp pro
machine and xp home machine.
1. I setup the net work by enabling the guest account on both computers and
sharing a few folders on each computer, did a reboot and the network was
working fine.
2. I assigned an ip address off 192.168.0.1 to my xp pro machine which has
the dial up modem and internet connection.
3. I set my xp home machine "to obtain an ip address automatically"
4. Open the Network and Dial-up Connections folder. Then right click the Dial-
up connection that you want to share and select Properties
5. Click the Advanced tab, then check Allow other network users to connect
through this computer's Internet connection.
Heres the twist, the ICS options are not available, All I see is a settings
button for Windows Firewall
Does anybody have any ideas ?
