Our network is in workgroup congiguration which has PCs
installed with Windows 2000 proffessional and Windows XP
Proffessional. We have DSL internet connection, the DSL
modem is connected to the switch. When we connect one of
the M/C installed with XP Pro to network internet will be
inaccessable, it'll be accessable when we take this system
off the network. The system is scaned for virus (using
Symantech Antivirus corporate edition client 8.1 which is
updated with the latest virus definations) and its virus
free.

What could be the problem? Please Help me.

Jaff,

you need some kind of router. My recommendation would be to buy
a (usually cheap) DSL router.

You can then remove the switch, as a suitable router has the
switch already built in.
