Im having a problem connecting two of my computers. I
have one computer in an office with a live feed connected
to the internet. I need to acess this computer from a
remote location. I have software to do this and it
works, however my host computer (the one im never infront
of) keeps timing out and looses the live connetion to the
internet. So my software on the Host computer (the one
im not in front of) doesnt see an internet connection.
I've changed the prefrences so it wont go into standby
mode and it should be continually conected.
The way i have been getting around this is by having a
tech reset my machine and upon start up it find the
internet connection and we are linked.
If i leave my Host computer on overnight with no activity
it will shurley time out. Then the next morning it will
need to be reset.
Im sure there are ways to fix the problem, one way would
be to have the computer automatically search for a
connection every hour or so. Or have an automatic reboot
every morning
Can anyone give me some help on this one, Please?
