Internet cache

How do you clear up your Internet Explorer Internet cache? Is that totally
different from temporary files and cookies? I did a PC pitstop, and it told
me I had 53 MB worth of IE Internet cache. So how do I get rid of it for
free? Thanks to all who replied.

There would be a charge depending on who removes them . For Free you can always try IE\Properties\General\Delete Cookies and Delete Files with a checkmark put to Offline files

What PC Pitstop is saying is the size of your IE cache is 53MB.
That's fine as you need a cache for storing temporary internet files.

I should have said "... doesn't work in the general case."
e.g. Install Firefox. Customise your Start Menu to show it as your
browser. Now add a short-cut to IE to your Start Menu. Add IE to
your Start Menu. Right-clicking IE doesn't do the biz.

I do not know about Firefox and the OP did not mention Firefox but in IE it works just dandy like this. You are using Firefox I presume. If you are do not give an OP an answer based on the way Firefox cache is cleared

does one "...try IE\Properties\General\Delete Cookies and Delete
Files with a checkmark put to Offline files"?

[Hint: if a less-than-expert user tries the above they will fail.]
