but, why are the Centrinos cheaper than the pentium of the same speed range - e.g 2.2 -2.2

i've got a P4 2.2 ghz, and my sisters computer is in the next room and is a centrino 2.2ghz
only diff is that i have a fx5600xt and she has gf4 mx440

mine way out prrfourms her - in bootin up, loading and running other programs and the likes

Are you thinking about Celeron instead of Centrino?

Centrinos are the ones with built in wireless internet... generally found in laptops...

Celerons are the NAF ones - ones you get in cheap computers.
