i need help with a "component transfer error" "installshield failed to
register one or more components. please reboot your pc and try again."
needless to say rebooting only gets me the same error. has anyone run across
this error message b/4 and is there any cure for it?

i only get to where the sliding bar says 8% and i get the error message so
nothing installs. i am trying to install mapsend direct route software. v
2.00f

Basically, this error is caused by a conflict of shared InstallShield engine
files.

the error that this fix says it fixes is not the same error that i get. i
downloaded it anyway but it didn't help. thanks anyway

Sorry, it did not work. Can you give me the exact wording of the error
message?
