Installshield

I've just started having a problem installing programmes that use
Installshield. When I start to install, everything proceeds as normal. I
get the Installshield "Do you wish to continue?" box. When I click yes, the
files appear to be extracting but nothing happens. When I do a
Ctrl-Alt-Del, I can see the install process sitting there. The problem is
not specific to just one programme but seems to a number of programmes.
Because of this I'm assuming that the problem is not with the specific
application using Installshield but rather a problem with XP on my machine.

Any help would be appreciated.
