InstallShiel update service error & MusicMatch install error

Hello,

I have just received my new laptop with Windows XP family SP2 French Edition
on it.
I have very quickly experienced issues with installations :
- installshield update service fails when I manually try to run it, with the
following error message :
Error Code: -5009 : 0x80040154
Error Information:

I wonder if this is related to all the issues with SP2 program compatibility.
I tried to stop the XP firewall, but this did not make any difference.
The laptop comes also with a trial version of McAfee. I disabled all McAfee
stuff(firewall, antispam,anitvirus), with no luck either.

Any help would be most welcome. I do not know how many applications will be
failing like this... but I start not liking it...

The operating words here are "new laptop". A new laptop with SP2
installed (and SP2 has been out since August 2004) should work
perfectly out of the box. Immediately call the laptop mftr.'s tech
support or take it back. If you want to be 100% sure there is something
wrong with the laptop before you take it back, restore it to factory
condition first. If you are still having issues with a clean machine
(don't connect to the Internet without a firewall and av in place),
then you know for sure the hardware is faulty.

Has nothing to do with SP2. Since it's a new computer contact their
tech support to fix it or return it.
