Windows XP Installisation Problem

Hi,

I have a brought a new system but i am finding it difficult to install the OS...

I Have Brought Asus : m4a78lt-m le
And AMD Phenom II x4 3.0 Ghz Processor...
I have a 80 GB IDE Hard disk

When i try to install XP 64 Bit i get the below Error:
TOP: Fatal System Error Windows logon process system terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0X00000080 the system has been shut down.


And When I try with Windows 7 it hangs once the files anr copied and when the Black Screen "Starting Windows Comes"...


I finding it hard to install the OS...

Pls Help...
I dont have any additional Hardware installed..


Pls Help

Does the 80Gb hard drive show in the BIOS?

And does either version of Windows see the disc during the installation procedure?
