Installing Windows XP (64-Bit Edition) doesn't recognize my SATA H

I was attempting to build a new PC with a WD 200GB SATA HDD, but the evaluation version of Windows XP (64-Bit Edition) would not find my HDD during Windows Setup. When it tells you to hit (F6), if you need to include drivers from other manufacturers, Windows Setup doesn't allow a manufacturer's CD - only a floppy disk. I downloaded the latest VIA RAID drivers onto floppy, but Windows Setup gave me several different errors when trying to read it. Such as: "File \RAID\winxp\viamraid.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 2192 in d:\srv03spb\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c." or "The file \RAID\winxp\viamraid.sys is corrupted." I re-downloaded the drivers (even different versions of them) and re-created this floppy disk several times, but only the error, or error numbers, changed. I ended up finally getting XP PRO to read the diskette, so I installed it instead of the 64-bit Edition. I really want to run the 64-bit Edition, and to eventually, upgrade it to a 64-bit Media Center PC. Is this possible? Any ideas?

It's the "Early Adopters" Syndrome. Some parts of the "Bleeding Edge"
technology are available before others. Some vendors have Beta 64
bit drivers and others don't. Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait out
delivery of 64-Bit drivers for all your hardware, before moving to XP
64.
-or-
Scale back your hardware configuration to a something that doesn't
require custom drivers. There are several Newsgroups dedicated to
64-Bit computing and some of these people are pretty resourceful. I
would visit/post to these sites to see if anyone has Beta drivers or a
successful work-around for your mass storage controller.
