Does Windows XP 64-bit edition have native SATA support?

I was just curious. I know that to install Windows XP on a SATA
drive, you need to load SATA drivers from a floppy disk because
they don't exist in XP. I wondered if this problem has been
corrected in the new 64-bit edition.

Should be ok. I recently used a slipstreamed XP-SP2 CD to install on a SATA
drive, and no drivers were required. I presume the same would hold good for
any newer version, since SATA has become the norm.

OK, I didn't know the drivers were in SP2. Makes sense, though.
SATA drives aren't the norm yet, but soon will be.
