Installing Vista 64

I have a PC with 1 IDE disk (win xp) and 2 250GB SATA disks set-up in RAID0
with Vista 32 bit installed on them, and I've just added a 500GB SATA drive
which I want to install Vista 64bit on, but when the installation gets to the
page where you get to choose to put the installation, my new 500GB disk is
nowhere to be seen, even though it shows up in Disk Management and is
initialized and formatted, where am I going wrong and why does the disk not
show up as an option to install the new OS on? Thanks in advance.

When you are installing, it may ask for SATA drivers. Either download them
and put them on a flash drive, and point the install to that disk, or use
the CD that came with your motherboard.
