Installing SP4

I applied SP4 for Win 2000 on a Dell 2550 web server and
I'm regretting it. It now just keeps rebooting, it's in a
loop. It will load the Windows splash screen, sits there
for about five minutes, then you get a very quick message
about a .dll, then it reboots. Can't go back to Last
Known Good, doesn't work. Anyone seen this?

Wish we saw this before attempting to update Sp4 today.
We are also stuck in a continuous reboot loop. F8
does not get us out no matter which prompt we attempt.
Its a Dell~~Edge, running Win2k ver 5.0~~ & Sp3 and
operating as our SQL Server with some SCSI & RAID HDD.
Tape backup was done earlier. Is there something we should
have known that's not readily available to read?
Is there a way out short of loosing everything and having
to re-format and re-load W2K Server+ SP's~1-3 & SQL Server?
