Trying to install a Lexmark Z705 on a friend's computer.
On completion of the file copy process a message saying "user action
canceled" pops up briefly and then an error message stating there was a
problem during installation and the device may not work properly.
He is running windowsXP and this printer is connected by USB port.
I have set his driver signing option to warn when installing not signed
drivers. He has full administrative privilege.
What could be causing the "user action canceled" message?

You should not attach the printer until after you install drivers or you will
get this error. Wait until you are instructed to attach a usb printer or
until after drivers are installed and then attach while the computer is still
running.
