Installing office onto a new XP Home installation

Hi
We did a complete format on my friend's computer and re-installed xp home.
When we installed Word (Office) 2000 Disk 1 it seemed to complete the
installation. We then installed Disk 2 and it came up with an error saying
the installation had ended prematurely. We then tried again and got the
same message. Went to control panel, add/remove programs to try and remove
Word and start all over again, got message saying that the windows installer
was unable to install this program. I've now tried to reload the Word Disk
1 and I get an error Message : Internal Error 2755, installer terminated
prematurely. Does anyone know what is going on?? I would appreciate any
help or advice. Thank you.

Thanks very much - I shall have a look at the folders and change the
permissions and see if it works. Appreciate the link.
