Unable to install Ofc Std 2007 in new machine with Vista 64 bit OS. Ofc disk
loads and contents of disk displays. Click on setup and get error message:

First uninstalled then, with help from techie, deleted all files. Rebooted.
Attempted to install 2007 Std v. 12 and received same error message.

Did you delete the old version or uninstall it? Did you reboot?

I believe it’s a vc+ error. Try this;
Start menu, Run, type in: (it may work in the start menu start search field
too)
sfc /scannow
Click OK.

Diane - I entered sfc /scannow in Run. A popup box flashed on screen but did
not remain. Nothing happened. Also did this in start menu start search
field with the same result.
