Does Outlook 2007 work with a 64-bit Vista machine?

We can't get Outlook 2007 to open on a HP 64-bit Vista computer. We get an
error message something like: Microsoft office installer cannot install the
necessary files due to Windows installer error 1605.
Other Office 2007 installed and work fine.
