Installing MS Office as administrator

I'm trying to install Microsoft Office 2000 Professional onto my computer but
it gets 1/2 way into the install and stops with error 1402 what do I do HELP.

You receive an "Error 1402. Could not open key" error message when you
run Office 2000 Setup
