Just go to; Start --> Run
Execute; %windir%\Fonts

Drag & Drop the TTF file you want to install on the; %windir%\Fonts folder.

How To Install or Remove a Font in Windows (314960)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;314960

if the option to install a new font is greyed out:

The desktop.ini file for the Fonts folder is missing data. Use the Windows
Search tool to search the Fonts folder for desktop.ini(hidden system file).
You can only find it by searching,(or by showingprotected OS\hidden files in
folder options) files not by browsing. Open it(notepad). It should read this:

[.ShellClassInfo]

UICLSID={BD84B380-8CA2-1069-AB1D-08000948F534}

If it does not, change it to replicate the above data and save the file.

good luck

Go to the fonts folder in the laptop with Windows Explorer. Right-click it and chosse properties. On the general
tab click box for Read-only then OK. Do this again(s) so that you end up with it as Read-only. That should fix it.

Or - more likely - the Fonts folder has lost its System Attribute. Go
to All Programs - Accessories - Command Prompt and in it give
ATTRIB +S C:\Windows\Fonts
EXIT

Adjusting if need be if your windows is not installed in C:\Windows
