Installing DL DVD burner, already CD-RW installed?

I just ordered a DL 16x DVD burner. Presently have a CD-RW
drive installed.
Question...will I or should I turn burning OFF on the CD-RW
so the DVD is the only burning drive for both DVD and CDs?
Or will the two drives coexist as slave and master (DVD
would be installed as master)? I use ROXIO software
version 5.3.5, but plan to upgrade that too.

Thanks

Hi
You should have no problem about both drives co-exsisting together
But check the Windows Hardware Compatibility list and
with Roxio to see if your new drive is supported.
Roxio is now up to version 8.
Personally I prefer Nero and have both CD/R & DVD/R working
fine together.

Thanks much, the new drive is fully supported. I have used
NERO and ROXIO and just stuck with ROXIO because it seemed
more familiar. But I appreciate the advice and will check
out both software, maybe I'll even try both again.
