I'm having trouble burning DVDs - Nero is saying the disk type is
incompatible.
The hardware is a Liteon DVD-R/RW-CD-R/RW (model No SHM-165P6s) combo drive
using TDK DVD+R disks.
PC is 1.4ghtz PIV 512 meg ram, Windows XP Professional
It burns CD's OK but doesn't like the DVD disk, saying incompatible disk
type.
Under the "Recorder Information" in Nero it says it supports:
DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD-RAM, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, CD-R/RW.
Being that "DL" stands for Dual Layer, I can't see any indication on these
disks I'm using that they are dual layer; therefore it seems they are single
layer and not compatible in this drive....
This is strange because I have previously burned files to DVD+R (1-16 speed,
single sided 4.7GB).
The specs state they are suitable for data, backup, photo, video & TV
recording
But it seems this drive is more friendly towards DL disks.
Any help appreciated.
