Installer problem.

A business application, Dentrix 10.5, was removed from Windows XP Pro by
Add/Remove Programs. Adobe Acorbat was associated with some part of the app.

Now when running Adobe the installer starts and says it is installing
Dentrix. Dentrix techs had me 1) removed the installer directory for Dentirx
2) use a utility to completely remove Dentrix.

Installer behaves the same way. I have removed and reinstall Adobe 6.0
twice. I even used the Installer Cleaner utility.

The installer fails with: Error 2718. MSDN says it is: Missing package name
for product code. "2".

A Dentrix tech said Microsoft knows about this bug and they finally has to
reinstalled Windows to solve it.

Any ideas or help?
