installed xp over windows 2000. need to remove

i need to remove windows 2000. i installed it after
deleting linux and then i got windows xp. windows xp did
not get rid of windows 2000. i need it out. please
help. i am not a techie so i need it easy terms. step
by step if possible. i believe windows 2000 is on a
seperate partition and i need to get that out. it can
dual boot as of right now. it is slowing down my
computer bad. please e-mail me at

Run - diskmgmt.msc
Highlight the partition right click and format it.
Reboot the computer and the boot loader shouldn't show up.
