A "destructive" recovery removes everything from the hard drive before
restoring the operating system. Now that the operating system is in place,
you'll need to reinstall the missing programs.
What method did the computer manufacturer provide for restoring the
optional and separate programs included with your computer purchase?
Example: Office is usually on "not for resale" CDs. Dell includes a CD
marked "Applications" for many of the add-on software titles they include
on their systems.
If unsure, check with tech support for your system to obtain directions on
their reinstallation.
