Installed SP2 and now modem is always busy

I installed service pack 2 and now every time I try to
connect pc says modem is busy or in use by another device.
 
Check the modem's website for an updated driver for SP2. Then reinstall the
driver for the modem. If there is no updated driver, just reinstall the
driver you have. Hope this helps. If this doesn't work...Uninstall the modem,
move it to another PCI slot, then reinstall it. Maybe it's the PCI slot
that's causing a problem? Just a thought.
