Installed software, now cannot access internet

I downloaded, and installed the beta spyware software.
Upon successful installation I am now unable to access any
internet functions. I get the following
error, "Application failed to start b/c SPORDER.dll was
not found. Re-installing Application may fix this
problem." What do I do?

I got the same error. However, it was after I removed
the spyware "Webharvester". The location of the file was
shown to be windows\system32\sporder.dll. In restoring
the computer and running a search I found two
applications of sporder.dll. The second one was in the
windows\temp\mcu9.tmp\.
I could not find the file on the Windows XP install disk.

So the question becomes how to reinstall that file?

The problem started after my scan. I removed one
threat, "webhancer" located at c:\windows\system32
\sporder.dll. This threat level was judged to be severe.
I am at my wits end.

My brother just installed this and had the EXACT same
problem. ***How he fixed the problem: restored his
computer with the last available restore point made before
installing the software. Hopefully you have made one, and
Windows will often make a restore point for you
weekly/daily/or before installing software. (Go to the
Windows help & support center on your computer--in the
start menu main area)

More info on sporder.dll: I did some research and found
somewhat conflicting views. Sporder.dll is used by Windows
XP and server for some internet functions (you obviously
know this...).

You should NOT delete sporder.dll, although many sites I
went to identified it as having some relation to a spyware
program called "WebHancer." WebHancer is a spyware program
and should be removed in the add/remove programs area (if
it is installed on your machine.)

**SO, the bottom line, is this:
1) Restore your computer to a previous restore point (I
hope you have one....)
2) Check add/remove programs for "WebHancer" and remove it
that's it.....good luck
