No, there is no code number on the cd packet. Is there any way o
getting the XP that was originally on my computer- the one that it cam
installed with, that corresponds with the number on the back of th
computer re-installed ? If that made any sense?

if you haven't insatlled it yet can you still get to your original windows
screen?
if you can ,control panel/then system. it will have the correct serial # there
