screen after start up or freezes on the blue screen saying "windows is
updating", my computer should be compadable because i used vista advisor

I had the same problem. I fixed it by using Daemon Tools to mount the iso
image and installed that way and it worked!! I'm not sure why that made a
difference. Anyone care to explain? My PC/hardware all checked out fine
running the Vista Upgrade Advisor.

I had the same problems and resloved it by using Daemon Tools to mount the

Anyone care to explain? My PC checked out fine running the Vista Upgrade
Advisor, so I knew it wasn't my hardware. I had also tried unplugging all
exteral USB devices, (printer, wireless ms mouse and ir remote) but that
didn't make a difference.

I left all of my devices attached. I didn't have anything attached that is
out of the ordinary. Just printer, wireless mouse and my ir rec for the mce
remote. I guess I should mention that I do not have raid, so maybe your
problem is slightly different. All I know is that my machine kept freezing at
the same places as others are reporting in the forum. By using the Daemon
Tools to load the iso image the install went without a hitch for some reason
that way.
