Install/Uninstall USB 2.0

I have an external Hard drive that works best on USB 2.0. I installed a
4-port USB 2.0 card. Every time I restart the computer, after it boots up, I
need to uninstall and reinstall the card through device manager to use the
ports again. How can I fix this?

Which PCI Slot # do you have the expansion card installed into.
( Count downward from the AGP/PCIe, 1st PCI as #1 ). As a
general rule, you want to use Slots #2 or 5 as they most times
have an independent IRQ assignment other slots share IRQs with
other peripherals.

Also are you going to continue to use the onboard ports that the
motherboard provides ? Sometimes there are resource issues
with too many Controllers/Hubs sharing IRQs.

Contact the technical support for the card - something seems to be wrong.
You may want to check their website for updated drivers too.
