Install Recovery console Problem

When I tried to install recovery console with this d:\i386\winnt32.exe
/cmdcons on the run it just opens the XP CD and does not start installation.

Any idea why is that??

Why bother installing the Command Console? Booting the
machine with your WinXP CD has the same effect and requires
no disk space!

Sure you can do that but why not install from command if there is possibiliyt?

Indeed, why not? Of course you need to ask yourself if
you should spend time in resolving the problem or if you
should simply walk around it, especially when the walk-around
solution is functionally pretty much identical.
