install microsoft frontpage 2000 on my computer

everytime i try to install microsoft frontpage onto my computer it says could
not find any previous installed compliant product on this machine for
installing this product

Sounds like you might have only an upgrade CD, and not the full product.
Where did you get this?

You have the upgrade version.

You need a compliant product to upgrade from i.e. a previous version of
Frontpage.

Find the cd or disk(s) of your previous version and insert it/them when
prompted - it doesn't need to be installed for the upgrade to work.
