Ditto here, but only have the problem on one of the two user accounts on my
XP Pro machine. Both accounts are set as computer admins.

One account runs perfectly fine.

The other has all kinds of problems with antispy

When running MS AntiSpy i get the "Error 101" message. When I uninstalled,
then reinstalled MS AntiSpy, I got the same errors as you. I scanned
through the registry and found several gcAntiSpywareLibrary. keys that
regedit says "Error while opening key". I am not able to delete these keys.

Hello Tor

Empty your IE cache and your other temporary file folders,
eg: c:\temp, c:\windows\temp or C:\Documents and
Settings\<name>\Local Settings\Temp (the path to your temp
folder will change depending on your name) - sometimes
programmes can be hidden in there - watch out for
mysterious *.exe files or *.dll files in those folders.

Please download again. Save the download to your desktop--
do not choose Run on the download dialog.
Once it is downloaded, double click on it to instªll.

Good luck

I have the same problem too, with 2 accounts with admin
privilage but only one account has the problem. I think it
is because when installing, it cannot override the files
because it is registered with both users. Any way to fix
it? My account is fine but my cousin's account give an
error (about quiting) everytime he logs in.

I have the exact same problem as described, both users are
administrators. I've cleaned the whole system of every MSAS trace, tried
all solutions I've read in this newsgroup, including installing in
another directory (C:\MSAS) but nothing seems to do the job.
MSAS worked prefect on my computer before upgrade to version 615. Is
there a place I can download the previous version and stay with that till
this problem is solved? I uninstalled it for now. I really liked MSAS and
want it back, but without the error messages

My gut instinct is that this problem relates to a security permissions issue
on certain keys in the Registry. Maybe the keys have Full Control given
only to CREATOR, instead of ADMINSTRATORS.

Agree on that
But it seemd Microsoft don't even care to give a
plausible explanation.
Until now I will remove it from all pc I'm min charge off
( +100) I cant accept that they wont even try to solve
the problem.
