instaling epson software

I just tryed to install the Epson software for the RX500 to my Pivilion 750n
desktop computer and i get a error pop up saying. "File error" cannot find
"SHELL.DLL".
and then i get another error sign saying "cant run 16 -bit windows programs"
Cannot find file E:\drivers\printers\setup.exe(or one of its components).
check to ensure the path and filename are correct and that all reaquired
libraries are available. So I called epson and they say that all their
software is ok, its my system that is the problem. can anyone please help. I
am sure that they are compatable.

Yes it is a old problem. 16bit subsystems i.e. dll's do no work well with
modern thunkers, and it is going to get worse.
Search for shellEX.dll or shell.exe. Once it is forund add it to the env.
path. Now run your printer software. If I balks, hit ignore, not camcel and
it will install fine.
