inserting multiple slides from 1 presentation to another

PPT 2003 crashes when I try to insert multiple slides from 1 presentation to
another. Any insights?
 
Do you get a message? Can you open the other presentation successfully? How
are you inserting the slides, i.e. what steps are you following and what choices
are you making?
