inserting a background in word document

I want to send a letter to my ex husband and insert a picture as a background
so that he cannot amend the letter and show to people. Only I have that
picture, therefore the background would be unique to me. please advise, as I
am new and using word 2007, please show me step by step what to do.

Don't bother. If you send a document to your ex-husband it is his to do with
as he wants. If the object of the exercise is malicious, it will rebound and
bite you.
