Dear Group,

I am working on a project that requires the delivery of water.
Is it possible to use say an hp inkjet printer head which has been
emptied of ink and refilled with water?

This should work. You might want to use distilled water, as tap water
may leave deposits in the printhead. How large do you want the droplets
to be? With commonly available HP cartridges you could get anywhere
from a handful of nozzles with ~100pL drops firing at a few KHz to
several hundred nozzles firing droplets of 4-5pL at ~20KHz. How are
you going to fire the drops - using a printer or custom circuitry? I
would be interested in more details, you can drop me a private email at
mailto:[email protected] if you wish.

I don't see why not. They work by heating the fluid to eject it.
However, changes will exist in boiling point and the like.
