Windows 7 Information Regarding Web Browsers

We keep getting on start up a box that says:
"Information regarding web browsers"

And then the box appears with:
"An important choice to make your browser, it then lists 12 to choose, including IE8 which is our default browser.
We already also have Opera, Firefox & Google Chrome"

How can we get rid of this box, the quick icon sits on the desk top whatever we do!!

This was recently included in one of Microsoft's updates which is explained in more detail HERE

Regarding the icon you want to get rid of, I found THIS - although reading the Microsoft article above, I get the feeling that they intend the icon to stay, but see what you think. :)

I got that and simply right clicked on it and deleted the shortcut. It hasn't come back.
