Please read this folks--this is a transcript of a chat by the Windows
Defender team--and much of it is specifically about the plans for Windows
Defender on platforms other than Vista--which is what most people here are
interested in.
In the chat are answers to a lot of FAQs--What versions of Windows--When
will it be available?
I'm jumping the gun a bit here, but I wonder if it will be necessary to
uninstall MSAS beta 1 first, and then download/install beta 2? Or will beta
2 automatically install over the old version?
I don't know the answer for sure, but all updates so far have been available
via autoupdate and have not required uninstalling the previous version.
