Are any current P4 MB's UNDER-clockable ??

Ed

I want to underclock and undervolt my cpu. As I understand it, ASUS mb's are good for over-clocking but are really bad for under-clocking. This is a shame since I have always bought ASUS mb's and I would like to continue.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks,
Tom.

Under-clocking, by the way, is used to reduce heat and noise. See here for more info:

Intel chips are multiplier locked, about all you could do is lower the
bus settings *if* your board allows it.

But many of the P4 motherboards specs say something like:

- Flexible CPU Core Voltage Adjustments in 0.025V increments over defaults
