Indenting limitations with Text Box/Placeholders

I'm familiar with indenting in Word.
I see that PowerPoint doesn't allow the flexibility of
Word.
One big difference is that the indent markers apply to the
entire text box and not to the individual paragraphs.
I can't seem to find an option to change this. I do not
want to create individual text boxes which would be a work
around.
Is there any way to change this in PowerPoint or is that
the way it is?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks !

use the bullet list.
from the slide master, select the first level bullet and
create a custom bullet using the empty space character.
do the same on each level for as many indents as you
need. you can adjust the offset like you do in word with
the sliders in the ruler.

now when you type into your slides, hit the tab button
to promote your paragraph to the next level (or in this
case, apply your indent.) this will keep your paragraphs
even on the left side.

hope that helps

Sad to say that your workaround is it. PPT doesn't allow per paragraph
formatting.
